J. David Trotter formed HTH Capital, Ltd. in 1998 with partner Kevin Hunter. Mr. Trotter's real estate experience spans nearly four decades. During that time he has purchased, managed, overseen development and acquired financing for over 170,000 square feet of medical and general office space and over 30,000 acres of land in the State of Texas.
Mr. Trotter graduated from the University of Kansas with honors earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He has over 35 years of experience in real estate, corporate and oil and gas transactions, though he no longer actively practices law.
Kevin E. Hunter, Principal
Kevin E. Hunter moved to Austin in 1998 where he established a full service real estate firm, HTH Capital, Ltd. with partner, David Trotter. Mr. Hunter and his management team are responsible for the day to day development, leasing and management of medical office buildings in Central Texas.
Mr. Hunter graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed Real Estate Broker. Prior to forming HTH he worked in Houston, Texas for Arthur Andersen as a public auditor and Simmons and Company International as an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions and capital financings.
Rachel A. Knox, Principal
Rachel Knox joined the HTH team in 2002. Today she oversees HTH's property management services and company operations, and stays active in leasing and construction management for the company's growing portfolio.
Ms. Knox is actively involved with the Austin Chapters of the Urban Land Institute (ULI)-Young Leaders Group, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) as well as a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin.
Ms. Knox holds professional licenses as a Real Estate Broker and Certified Public Accountant. She earned both her Bachelors degrees in Economics and Geography with highest honors, as well as her Masters degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a proud Longhorn. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga and traveling.
M. Ryan Frey, Vice President, Leasing
M. Ryan Frey has been in Commercial Real Estate for over 8 years. He has produced over $75 Million in Commercial Real Estate transactions and has leased over 400,000SF of office space. Most recently, Ryan assisted in the development of the Medical Office Building on the new Lakeway Regional Medical Center's campus and was directly responsible for the successful, full lease up of the 53,000sf medical building.
Ryan joined the HTH team in 2012 and is responsible for the leasing of new projects, as well as tenant representation services. Mr. Frey is a licensed real estate agent and graduate of Texas Tech University with degrees in Business Management and Marketing. He was previously with the Frey Young Group in Dallas/Fort Worth. After moving back to Austin 3 years ago, Ryan, wife Stephanie and their newest addition, Wyatt, proudly call Austin home.
Heidi Olson joined the HTH team in 2005. Today she manages HTH’s business office and assists with the property management.
Mrs. Olson earned her Bachelors degree in Business with high honors, as well as her Masters degree in Business Administration, focusing on Organizational Leadership and Business Management, from Concordia University Texas in Austin. She is passionate about the community and currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Young Professionals for the Cure and Greenlights 501 Council. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, running and serving the community.
